How to buy Ape Coin on Coinbase

Because Ape Coin is an ERC-20 coin this means you can only buy it on exchanges that are ERC-20 compatible. Having said that there could be wrapped versions of the token on exchanges that belong to non-Ethereum blockchains. For example, pancake swap allows you to trade Ape Coin with other coins. However keep on mind that on such exchanges it is the wrapped version of Ape Coin that you will be trading here (See what is wrapping in crypto for more). This does not make a very big difference.
