Then all you need to do is decide which container offer you the most frills and which company gives your piece of mind that they can support you on an ongoing basis.

Additionally, the area above the miners is made of one solid panel, eliminating any seams that could potentially leak.
The slanting blue awnings are how air and heat escape and they are padded with filters at the bottom so no dust gets into the container. The slant means that any snow or rain will slide off. This design is unique to the pod. Other containers on the market will use a water curtain to dissipate heat.
The M300 MiniPod is also equipped with a Smart Power Distribution Unit (SPDU), which controls the temperature of the container and logs all data. The SPDU can even locate your devices, making it easy to identify and manage your miners.

Overall I have given the MiniPod the highest rating with 4.5 stars. Digital Shovel’s mobile crypto mining container comes across as the most professional. Their website is the easiest the navigate and they have a lot of content on YouTube displaying their product. The design is also well thought out and when I reached out to them on a Saturday they responded immediately. Also, the fact that they are based in Canada means that logistics and communication will be easier, especially for North America.
2. EZ SMARTBOX™ MOBILE MINING CONTAINER by EZ Blockchain

The EZ Smartbox™ Mobile Mining Container is another fully plug-and-play solution for large-scale cryptocurrency mining operations. It contains all the other equipment you need to get up and running and is marketed toward power facilities with excess power generation capacity.
The container is 40 feet in size and resembles a shipping container on the outside, but it has been designed specifically for cryptocurrency mining.
The EZ Smartbox™ comes in two models, the Model 3000 and the Model 2000. Each has slightly different specifications.
- The Model 3000 can fit up to 768 asic miners with up to 3.5 kW/h power consumption and a power input of up to 3,000 kWh. It has 12 400A main breakers, 768 individual miners 20A 1P breakers, and cables equipped with C19 plugs.

The EZ Smartbox™ is a fully mobile data center, which makes it easy to transport. It meets all international public road transportation codes, so you can haul your Bitcoin mining farm on a flatbed just like a shipping container.
The Smartbox™ is equipped with internet infrastructure provided by Ubiquity. The router has a built-in firewall, and each unit can have its network security. Ethernet cables are connected to each rack for easy installation. The inside electrical infrastructure is protected by circuit breakers, and there are at least three layers of surge and heat protection for the equipment inside.

Overall I have given the Smartbox a high rating of 4 stars. The fact that they are based in the United States is definitely a plus. And their product seems to be of high quality. Their website is a little clunky to navigate. In terms of pricing, it’s not cheaper than the MiniPod despite being 10x in scale. Overall, the EZ Smartbox™ Mobile Mining is a good choice for those who want an out-of-the-box solution. It is primarily targeted toward facilities that have the excess electrical capacity and don’t know what to do with it.

The Power Mining cryptocurrency mining container comes in two different sizes: 20ft and 40ft. In addition, there is the option to have a custom-built one made for you.
In terms of pricing, the base price for the ASIC-162 (20ft) container is 32,999 € + VAT. The 40-foot container is not more economical as it fits twice the number of ASICs but also costs twice as much at 63,998 €.
The company is based out of Latvia in Europe. They do ship globally and shipping costs will set you back another $5,000.
Power Mining’s container comes with a unique ventilation solution. The inbuilt ASIC ventilation system is efficiently used to maintain mining equipment operations. An inner wall separates hot and cold air mixing, preventing facility overheating. No extra industrial fans are needed!
The containers are adaptable meaning they can be easily transformed to support new other equipment. This can come in handy in the future when more efficient mining machines become available on the market.
Setting up the Power Mining container is straightforward, thanks to its easy plug-and-play setup. The mining machines are plugged into the power outlets, and the electrical distribution board must be provided with a 400V (volt) three-phase electrical connection (however, they can manufacture containers for other voltage inputs as well).
The Power Mining container also offers optional monitoring capabilities. The heat, humidity, and power metrics can be monitored remotely. In addition, miner status can also be monitored remotely using their Awesome Miner monitoring software installed on a VPS server connected to the core router through VPN. Video surveillance and security systems can also be installed.
The Power Mining 20ft container can accommodate up to 162 newest generation ASICs* and has a nominal power of up to 600 kW. It has six to eight rows of shelves for miners and is equipped with G4 or G5 Panel Air Filters (EN: 779) and ventilation grills for air inflow and outflow. The container also comes with electrical distribution sets, including an electrical distribution board (1250A 3-phase input) and 15 pieces of C19 12 port PDUs. The container has shelves for miner placement, laser-cut hot and cold air zone isolation sheets, electrical outlets for peripherals, and standby lights.
In terms of pricing per kW, the base price of Power Mining’s container is the cheapest. However, it does not include all the frills. Power Mining sells additional options separately: pocket filters, LAN setup, smart PDUs, video surveillance system, access control system, and temperature monitoring. If you include all of the extra options you are going to end up with a price closer to $100. Then on top of that, you need to account for about another $5K in shipping costs
I have given the power mining containers a rating of 3.5 stars purely because they are not based in the US. The shipping costs will bring the cost per kW to 11% higher than the MiniPod 300 and the EZ SmartBox. The company comes across well. They look professional but there is no reason to ship all the way to the US from Europe unless you are looking for a no-frills option. The most expensive component is the smart PDUs. If you are not fussed about remote monitoring then this could be a solution for you.
4. ASIC & GPU Crypto mining container by Containerz.com

Containerz provides turn-key mining rigs that are easily transportable anywhere in the world. Their mining containers feature active ventilation, industrial-grade electricity components, and ASIC or GPU mining capability. These plug-and-play solutions offer fast turnaround times of 6 to 10 weeks from order to delivery.
Their 20ft container model, with shelf space for 276 miners, is available starting from €44,950 which is about $50,000. Containerz also offers 10ft and 40ft models, and all containers are fully customizable to meet specific mining needs. Their 10-foot container is the smaller I have seen. So if you want one in your back yard this is the one to go for. The company is based out of Belgium so you will need to factor shipping into your pricing and delivery estimates.
I have given Containerz 3.5/5 stars because they share little information on the specs of their containers. For example, they do not indicate whether they offer the same features as the bitcoin mining container providers at the top. While the Small container is comparable to the competition at $100 / kW their Medium and Large model are way cheaper. Even though they are based in Europe you might want to reach out to them if you are a bargain hunter.
5. ASIC & Bitcoin Mining Container by Kontena

Kontena is a company that produces 20-foot containers with space for 150 to 300 ASIC units.
The container’s clean and high-quality design features large cold air inlets, hot air outlets, and a big G4/M7 air filter section. Additionally, the container is equipped with 16 standard PDUs and is powered by standard C19. For those interested in customizations, Kontena offers a wide variety of options, such as monitoring, network equipment, branding, and electrical upgrades. Shipping is available worldwide, and production time ranges from 5 to 10 weeks depending on configuration and availability. With over a decade of experience in designing and producing machines, Kontena claims they are a trusted name in the crypto mining industry. If you’re looking to start your mobile bitcoin mining farm, Kontena’s M3c ASIC Mining Container is definitely worth considering. However, keep in mind that they’re based in Belgium so you will need to factor in transportation costs.
The Kontena is priced at just under $49,000 but they do not disclose power capacity for me to calculate the cost per kW.
I am giving Kontena a 3/5 because they do not provide enough information on their container. The capacity range of 150-300 miners is too vague. Moreover, they too are more appropriate for European-based customers rather than American ones.

When I looked on their site I could only find the lower-range model.
The price is one of the cheaper options at $73 per kW. However, you need to check whether you want remote management for your PDUs like what is available for the MiniPod 300.
I am going to give the module box a 4 given its location and cheaper price.
The company has a presence in Austin Texas which is a big plus point if you are located in the South. They also seem to be producing more than one size of container however my research showed that some of the lines were discontinued.
Overall, the ModuleBox V4 Smart Aircooled Container is an impressive and well-designed solution for cryptocurrency mining. With Vipera’s financing options and colocation hosting, it is an excellent option for those looking to start or expand their mining operations.
Suffice it to say that all of the above containers are modular and can support a mining farm of any size. Most take 6-10 weeks to deliver.
