Uniswap

Hey! You’ve reached my category page for all things related to Uniswap. Currently I only have my major behemoth of an article on what Uniswap is and how it works. In the future, as this site grows, I hope to supplement this section with further content around Uniswap. Some of the articles I plan to write are about are guides around how to use Uniswap V2 and V3 as well commentary on the UNI’s price movement. If you are new to crypto then Uniswap is an excellent place to start. There are some prerequisites however to doing so. If you are completely clueless about DeFi, or if you don’t know what that word even means, then  you need to understand Ethereum first. Once you’ve got Ethereum down pat you can read the explanation of Uniswap.

Uniswap was the first and largest decentralized exchange to use the Ethereum platform effectively. Instead of matching buyers with sellers, which was hard to do on a blockchain, it introduced the concept of liquidity providers. These are people that fund pairs of tokens to be traded. Anyone can become a liquidity provider to be rewarded. The whole process of how this works in a decentralized and permissionless manner is fascinating. I encourage you to read the full article.
